In addition, BB-8 and BB-9E's Emotes and Victory Poses can only be obtained through Crates that are obtained through completing milestones. Some time after the release of The Rise of Skywalker Update, new weapons and their mods must now be obtained through Crates before usage in another match.
#LOOT CRATE UPDATE#
The Cooperation Update on September 25, 2019, disabled Daily Crates. The 2.0 Patch removed Star Cards, blasters, and blaster attachments, as well as the Crafting Parts currency, from Loot Crates, making them cosmetic only. These Loot Crates could be purchased for crystals or with credits, leading many to criticize the system as " pay-to-win" and having similar psychological effects to gambling.

Prior to the 2.0 Patch on March 21, 2018, player progression revolved around Loot Crates as, in addition to emotes, Victory Poses, and credits, Loot Crates also contained Star Cards, blasters, and blaster attachments, as well as a currency called Crafting Parts which were used to "craft" and upgrade Star Cards. Loot Crates sometimes also feature bundles of Appearances, and can only be purchased with Credits earned in-game. A Daily Crate, rewarded for logging in, contains 500 credits. Prior to the Progression Update, Daily Crates included a random Star Card and a small amount of Crafting Parts, in addition to Credits.Īs of the 2.0 Patch, Loot Crates can only contain Credits and various cosmetic items such as emotes and Victory Poses. Other items included Star Cards for other classes, Victory Poses, Emotes and weapons.

Purchasable crates were available for 4,000 Credits (Trooper) 2,400 Credits (Starfighter) 2,200 Credits (Hero) and included 1 or 2 Star Cards tied to the specific Crate, another item and Crafting Parts. Prior to the Progression Update, Loot Crates contained a random Star Card, and Crafting Parts.
